Project: comparing the present and the past

CANVA PROJECT

Objectives:  

1. To link what we are learning to important anecdotes of your past.

2. To talk about your past by using PAST SIMPLE, USED TO, WOULD.

Procedure:

1. In pairs or on your own, choose one of the following ideas for your Canvas project:

  • Option A: Advantages and Disadvantages of being in Secondary school in comparison to Primary School.
  • Option B: Advantages and Disadvantages of Primary school in comparison to Secondary School.
2. Prepare a canvas with your ideas and reasons/examples (10 ideas if you do it individually/ 20 if you do it in pairs)
3. Include photos related to the advantages and disadvantages of option A/B.
4. Highlight USED TO, WOULD and PAST Simple in your sentences.

Global Classroom in Madrid

In your notebook, create a section calles "Global Classroom".

European day of languages


 In groups of 4/5, prepare a poster for the project "European day of languages", like the examples above and below. 

a) choose an original semantic field (e.g. gadgets, love relationships, education, etc) and include the different ways the words are said in the map. 

b) include a drawing associated to each word. 

c) Don't forget to include: 

1. the title of the poster, 

2. the names of the places inside the map,

3. The chosen semantic field

4. The names of the members of the group (NO surnames) 

5. Your class
